The meeting was called to order on May 16,2007 at the Lakeland Police Department Community Room at 9:05 am. Frank Kneen gave the treasurer's report.  The balance on hand in April, 2007 was $1681.40 and for May the balance onhand is now $811.40.

 A motion was made by Duane Wallace and seconded by Stefanie Thompson that the minutes ofthe April meeting and the treasurer's report be approved as read.  All were in favor. Stephanie Thompson, Chairman for the BLFS Speaker's bureau, asked the anyone who was interested in speaking at oneof the meetings see her if interested in doing a presentation.  Russell Betz announced that anyone who wanted to put an announcement for an upcoming event such as a Health Fair,e-mail those announcements to him at Partner'shomecare.com. 

We then paused to make introductions of all in attendance around the room. 

Current Business:Russell Betz showed everyone out new Better Living for Seniors business cards which are available for anyone who wouldlike to have to pass out to prospective members or just interested in our organization.  He also announced the the BLFS website which is BLFSpolk.com is up and running and encouraged those interested toplace ads on the site. 

Frank Kneen put out a plea for those who not paid their dues to do so by June, 2007 or their information on the web sitewill be deleted if not paid by that time. 

The meeting was shortened with no further business due to the special guest speaker for today. 

Stefanie Thompson introduced Maureen Kelly, President and CEO of West Central Area Agency on Aging, Inc.Maureen did a presentation on the Aging Resource Centers of Florida. 

The next meeting will be at 9:00am on June 20th at Lake Morton Plaza.  Tamara Rowland is the guest speaker. 

The meeting was adjourned at 10:15am with a motion by David Dumont and seconded by Frank Kneen.
